Edith Melton
Edith Melton is the former First Lady of New Hope Baptist Church of Hampton, Virginia. Originally from the rural areas of North Carolina, Melton moved around following her graduation from high school and eventually settled in the Hampton Roads area with her high school sweetheart, who became the pastor of a local church. In Hampton Roads, Melton raised a family and served the community. Although her husband has since passed on, she continues to help coordinate various service activities such as angel trees, senior citizen activities, and teaching the children and sick members of the church.
